Wow!

My first giveaway on Facebook was a huge success! I am so thankful for my friends and family who are supporting me as I try to get this little business of mine up and running. For the first time in a long time, or maybe ever, I feel truly inspired and motivated to do what I love, and I feel so encouraged by the support I've received!

Inspiration Found!

Well, it has been a whirlwind few months, hence the lack of activity at Meredith Elder Design. But, the good news is, I am back and ready to create!! My last post was about my desire to draw in the hopes that I would find inspiration. Well, I did! Only a few drawings into my sketchbook, I drew our house, and really loved it. I remembered that in the past I have been drawn (no pun intended...) to architectural drawing. I had a teacher once in college tell me I was good at it, and you wouldn't believe what that small compliment did for my confidence!

So, I began drawing more houses and quickly fell in love with it! I felt like It was just my style. After hearing encouraging words from friends and family members, I decided that this was a new avenue that I wanted to travel down.

I have created a shop on Etsy in the hopes of spreading the word about my drawings. I think these little drawings are perfect housewarming gifts for people buying their first home, or gifts for people who want to remember and treasure the house they grew up in, or one that has special meaning to them.
